We try to get back to Texas every year at Thanksgiving.  It’s super fun and one of the few times of the year that it’s not super hot in Texas.  It’s also great to see family.  Since moving to Boulder, Colorado 4 years ago we haven’t gotten to see my family much.  This year we decided to do a few casual family portraits.  The term ‘herding cats’ never applied more.

Health and Beauty

These images are from my latest shoot with Yellow Scene Magazine.  It was great to do some work in studio.  It feels like it’s been a while since I’ve gotten to do that.  I used my new Elinchrom D-Lite 4 through a softbox as the main light and an Alien Bees B400 to light up the background.  We bounced a little light off a reflector to illuminate the shadows a bit.

I really enjoy getting to be in the studio and doing some editorial work.

Photo Day with Ray

November 16, 2009

A couple of weeks ago we did a “photo day” at Chautauqua Park here in Boulder.  We did one maternity, a couple of couples and several families.  The day was a blast.  I pretty much spent the entire Saturday at the park.  Below are a few of my favorites from the day.

A couple of weeks back we had a Portrait Day and I had the opportunity to snap a few photos of my girls.  Aren’t they beautiful?
